My name is Kagiso. I am meditating with the guidance in Botswana meditation center.
I have been doing it for about 6 months now, I think. I am in level 7, habit class.
It’s been amazing. Firstly when I started it, I used to suffer from Insomnia and had a lot of stress
and had a lot of tension on my shoulders and so forth.
And but you know ever since I started, I sleep better, I don’t have insomnia. Insomnia has gone.
I feel much more peaceful and I am lighter and even happier evne when things happen around me.
I am able to keep discarding, I am able to let all the energy flow out, I am not thinking and dwelling on things.
I just keep discarding throughout the day and I don’t accumulate things. I feel so much lighter and I’m so much
happier and that feels good. I’m much more Peaceful as per my name actually. So Thank you.
Gain Peace of Mind and Happiness
My name is Geoffrey Seleka and I’m a local SME Business Man in Gaborone Botswana.
I have started this meditation in 2015 and it has extensively changed my life for the best. I achieved Human Completion in 2018.
So far I have no worries or stress, and I’m much more accepting to situations that I can’t control as I come across them. The method enabled me to control and silence my Mind from mind noise or lost uncontrollable multiple thoughts. Finally, because I don’t have stress I rarely get sick and I’m much more productive in anything I do than before.
I’m very thankful to this meditation because I managed to escape my illusionary mind and now I can live my life freely and peaceful
Into the Light
My life before meditation was difficult. I struggled with constant pain and battles, which I realized through the meditation that they were wars I was waging against myself. I lost my parents at a young age and have suffered from inferiority and worry for most of my life.
Even after I started working and stabilized financially, I only got to experience true freedom after cleansing my mind through meditation. I have started to understand what is truly meant to be alive, by discarding a falseness that was my life. I am still me but recognise the roots of my limitations that made me doubt myself and held me back for a long time.
Every day now I am excited to wake up to a new day and new experiences. I am growing daily even in my new challenges from life, I know that I am free.
Meditation helps control destructive emotions
My name is Gopolang. I’m a construction cost consultant and I have been doing this meditation since September 2015.
This meditation helped me to live my life with ease, to understand that regardless of what we do, good and bad things will always happen. All that we should do is to accept life as it is and move on. It helped me to live in the moment as I don’t do stress. I’m able to forgive and live well with others.
It also helped to build my confidence and to accept things that I cannot change and to fully concentrate on doing things that I can change. I came to know myself better and to understand that the reason why we don’t live our life well is because we dwell on our past experiences and fear failure in meeting our future expectations.
I got to realize that destructive emotions of fear, anger and other weaknesses thrive due to our inability to forget our past and the fear of the possibility of failure to meet our future expectations. These then disrupts our concentration in achieving our present endeavors by clouding our judgment, making us lose focus, and resulting in procrastination.
Through this meditation, I managed to shed myself of these destructive emotions. I never dwell on my past and I don’t worry about my future. Therefore when I work I concentrate well and I find that I can generate energy that I never thought I possess.
Meditation would make the world a better place.
I started meditation at Gaborone Meditation Center in November 2018.
I was invited by my cousin. Her and I have a lot in common, she therefore knew that I would benefit a lot from this.
I used to have anxiety attacks, I would worry over things I cannot change, I had fears about loss in general, I was easily provoked and I was shy.
The day I walked into the Meditation center, things changed for good. I am on Habit Class.
I am very calm, I don’t wonder in misplaced thoughts, I relate well with people, my family, friend and colleagues.
I am so grateful for this method and would like my family and other people to this.
It would make the world a better place.
I have found the True meaning of Life
It’s been a few years since I have been grappling with unfulfilled life, especially around my career life. As a result, I suffered from anxiety and was unable to totally focus on anything. After some debilitating panic attacks and ‘feeling like a zombie for weeks at work, I eventually quit my job and immediately joined Gaborone Meditation Centre for some guided meditation. I made a commitment to meditate daily and diligently because every personal development book and research study that I have come across have all pointed out the wonders of meditation; how it helps in improving one’s mental and physical health, increases empathy/kindness levels, boosts problem-solving and decision-making skills, reduces stress levels, increases focus and many more.
To tell the truth, didn’t even know that I was suffering from Anxiety because I felt like ‘myself’. I was so used to living in fear and worry that it became who I was. My meditation guides were very sincere and showed me how I can completely eliminate the false mind and live a truly happy life. One day, after a few weeks of diligent meditation, I felt very calm, present, had more energy, and could control my thoughts, this is when I realized that I was getting enlightened! Within 5 weeks I had completely thrown away all my anxious mind.
So, ever since I have started and committed to daily meditation, my life has completely turned around! I’m now a better wife to my husband, a more present mother to my kids, and have meaningful relationships. I have found happiness and great joy in life! I no longer concentrate on negative thoughts; I practice mindfulness throughout the day and most of all I’m full of gratitude!
I now know I am on the right journey to find the meaning and purpose of life.

My burdens have been eliminated and I feel lighter and happier.
My name is Ezekiel,
I joined meditation last year July to get rid of burdens of life that were overwhelming. I wanted to master myself and not get controlled by the upside-down of life. Before I joined I ascribed my troubles to be caused by someone else and took no responsibility, I took responsibility a little bit but mostly I thought someone else is causing it. Now after meditation, I have realized that my problems are right inside my mind….my human mind. My body is a camera taking pictures of life it’s good and bad and storing pictures and images in my mind. This images of thoughts and pictures within me dictated to me how I see the world, how I react. I realized after this meditation that I was merely living in my mind, the picture world and this caused me enormous anguish and stress. It felt like I am living in the real world but now I now know it was just a picture world which is a false and illusionary world. Now I can say I have just woken up from this bad dream of false – illusionary world. I am more present and not living in what happened in the past or what will happen in the future, I am present and living in the real world. The anger I had about people and circumstances has now disappeared since I know it was just a projection of my false mind. My burdens have been eliminated and I feel lighter and happier
This meditation is? “simple and so powerful”
Before meditation, the life I have lived from the outside looked good. Perhaps to the eyes of the people around me I was happy and confident with family, school and work but I was very worried and always felt pressured within. I always had this need to please everyone and was obsessed about maintaining an image for a good person in front of others. I was always hiding behind my fake smiles and heavy make-up, covering myself up to be perfectly good. Through the meditation I realized that this was all because I was so worried about how the world saw me. I was so worried that I never wore white socks or bright colors because people could then see how dirty my feet were. I felt as if the world was judging me for every little thing about me. My insecurities always overwhelmed me that I was haunted with insomnia.
However, reflecting back at my life, the meditation has really helped me see that I was only living inside this bubble. I was stuck inside a place where I cared only about my self-centered views and comparing myself and wanted to become better with my own standards that I had made to myself. Now that I look back at myself, I was so ridiculous! Riddling myself with so many worries.
I have done the meditation from level 2 in Korea, so I have not yet met people that know of the old me. However, even the people here say that from the time I’ve been here that I look brighter. I see my own change too, my insomnia is gone and I dance around in whatever colored socks, without makeup. When I no longer rely on the opinion of others, I feel much stronger and free. The greatest gift the mediation has allowed me is to allow me to see that the world does not spin around me. I have been living only for myself. For me, the greatest part of this meditation is to see reality, the true world, outside of my bubble.
Be the change you want to see in the world
I think when I was born I chose 100% heart and zero head. I love people and love to help them. That has been part of my life for a long time and even the success in my career comes from it. However there came a point in my life where I sought for ways to help others but drove myself insane because I could not find a way to help the other. Once, one of my family members was suffering from depression. There was nothing that I could do to help and knowing that I couldn’t help that person brought me to an even deeper depression. However, once I started the meditation, I noticed a change in me. I realized that only I can change myself and only I can help myself. It was no longer about my need to help and improve others but it was more about being an example to the people who require the help. I found a way to show true compassion and love to others by helping myself. Everything I do and want to say in a short version is that ‘live by example and be the chance you want to see in the world.’
When I started the meditation in the U.S., my career grew a lot faster. People were nicknaming me as a “superstar” and I was awarded a title as the ‘Top 5 Person’ within my industry with a promotion of an executive VP. Though my career was successful I realized that my job made me so busy. I knew there were a lot of opportunities for me to grow through the meditation and I knew to gain something I needed to sacrifice something. Thus with a bold decision, I chose to go to Korea to invest in myself and it was not just a gold mine, but a diamond mine. I can see that most people who want to try the meditation are just so busy with their lives, but I wish they take a moment to invest in themselves to find what is that they truly want in their lives. For me, I just love who I am inside right now. The language and food was very different in Korea but it is nothing compared to the depth of the gratitude I have for the method because it has changed my whole entire life. Though the past 4 months of meditation in Korea, I was able get over my traumatic experiences in my past, conquer my phobias, and be free from the health conditions that has been following me all life. Many people tell me that I’ve changed a lot and tell me that I look brighter and younger.
At this point, my heart is full of joy and love and gratitude. So with this gratitude that is inside, I want to give this out to other people now, by being an example.
Experiencing joy of cleansing the mind
My name is Bigani Dambe. I started meditation in April 2019.
Before meditation, I had a lot of things to think about, worried about my life and my family and had too much fear.
After meditation I experienced the joy of cleansing the mind. No fear; I can live my life as it is.
