Because that’s what people can tell consciously, subconsciously.
This is a fictional story. Once upon a time, there was a widow and a widower, each with one child, and they got remarried each other. The woman purposefully tried to pay more attention to the man’s child, not wanting that child to feel left out.
However, for some reason, despite her effort, her own child seemed to thrive and shine more compared to the man’s child.
It was one night when the man happened to wake up in the middle of the night that he found out why. The woman was sleeping with the man’s child in her arms as usual, but her aura was actually embracing her own child.
She must have tried her best to take care of the man’s child as if her own. However, she couldn’t control her instinctive maternal love toward her own child.
It is quite interesting that Truth can never be hidden. You sometimes feel this invisible wall toward a person even though he may have a big smile on his face. You probably have experienced moments when even though someone is saying the nicest things, her words feel empty and hollow. Or feeling distant and disconnected with someone even though you are physically right next to each other. Truth always reveals itself through any superficial covering.
This is another more widely known story. There was a rich man who donated a portion of his wealth to a church. There was another man who was poor, and he donated all that he had to the church. Still, the poor man’s contribution was only a fraction of the amount compared to what the rich man gave. After both of them passed away, the poor man was welcomed at the gate of Heaven, whereas the rich man didn’t receive any welcome. It turns out that in Heaven, the poor man who gave his everything has made a bigger contribution than the rich man who only gave a portion of his possession.
There is a saying that people see outward appearances, but Truth sees the inner heart.
This sounds truly fair. Truth does not care for your gender, age, race, status, or religion. Truth only sees your sincere heart. In that respect, blaming one’s circumstances would be nothing but a poor excuse.
It is up to you to achieve your goals, have good relationships, live a meaningful life, discover your true self, receives blessings, and live in Heaven on earth while living.
As a meditation instructor, I have witnessed firsthand what Truth values and how it manifests as results.
People who prioritize meditation and reflection despite their busy lives, people who appreciate the process and continue to cleanse their mind every day achieve enlightenment and find Truth in the end.
When they endeavor to let go of their selfish minds, Truth recognizes their effort and is touched. It is then Truth is revealed from within them, as if Truth is responding to their sincerity.
When people discard their self-centered minds, there will no longer be concepts of what is good and bad, right or wrong, or what is mine and what is yours. This way is how the world becomes Heaven on earth, where no one gets hurt or left behind.
It is truly grateful that Truth only values and recognizes sincere heart and nothing else so that anyone and everyone can recover Truth within regardless of their circumstances.
